A Plant Equipment Field Service Engineer provides on-site technical support, servicing, and repair for plant machinery and heavy equipment. The role involves diagnosing faults, performing maintenance, installing components, and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently at customer locations.
Key Responsibilities
Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on plant equipment such as excavators, loaders, telehandlers, and forklifts.
Travel to customer sites to carry out breakdown repairs and servicing.
Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and scheduled servicing.
Diagnose hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and engine faults.
Replace or repair faulty components including pumps, cylinders, sensors, and control systems.
Use diagnostic tools and service software to identify issues.
Complete service reports, job sheets, and maintenance records.
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations.
Communicate with customers regarding equipment condition, repairs, and recommendations.
Maintain service vehicles, tools, and spare parts inventory.
