Our client BAE Systems, a leader in the Defence & Security sector, is looking for a dedicated Senior Engineer - Mechanical - Auxiliaries to join their team based in Scotstoun. This contract role spans 12 months and requires a specialised understanding of auxiliary piping systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing, developing, and managing auxiliary mechanical systems for naval ships
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the smooth integration of auxiliary systems
- Conducting detailed analysis and providing technical solutions for auxiliary mechanical issues
- Preparing and reviewing technical documents and specifications
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Providing support and expertise during the installation and commissioning phases
- Engaging in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance
- Maintaining detailed records and reports on project progress and engineering activities
Job Requirements:
- Experience as a piping engineer
- Strong knowledge of auxiliary systems and their applications
- Proficiency in mechanical engineering principles and practices
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
