A firm of Chartered Accountants and Registered Auditors in Gloucester is looking for a Payroll, Tax & Accounts Assistant to join their friendly and supportive team.

This is a varied role that will see you involved in payroll, tax and general accounts work, making it a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of responsibilities and wants to continue developing their skills within a professional practice environment.
The Role
Your day-to-day work will include a combination of but not limited to:
- Processing payroll for a range of clients
- Ensuring payroll submissions are completed accurately and on time
- Assisting with personal and corporate tax work
- Supporting the preparation of accounts for a variety of clients
- Maintaining accurate financial records
- Liaising with clients to gather information and answer queries
- Supporting the wider team with general accounting duties
About You
The practice is looking for someone who:
- 2+ years UK experience within an accountancy practice
- Good understanding of payroll and accounts processes and basic tax work
- Is organised, reliable and has a good eye for detail
- Is comfortable speaking with clients and working as part of a team
- Enjoys a varied role and is keen to keep learning
This would suit someone looking to build their experience in a well-established local practice where they can develop their skills across several areas of accountancy.
