The firm prides itself on delivering high-quality legal advice while maintaining a professional and supportive working culture for its staff.Contentious Probate Solicitor - Position Overview: You will handle a varied caseload of contentious probate and litigation matters, advising clients and managing cases from instruction through to resolution while meeting agreed financial and professional standards.Key Responsibilities of the Contentious Probate Solicitor: • Acting on claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975 for both Claimants and Defendants • Handling probate disputes involving allegations of forgery, testamentary capacity and undue influence • Advising on disputes concerning the validity and construction of trust documents • Managing cases involving allegations of fraud • Acting for Executors in a neutral capacity • Handling proprietary estoppel and constructive trust claims • Drafting settlement agreements • Managing files from instruction through to conclusion with minimal supervision • Accurate time recording and billing • Participating in business development and client relationship buildingRequirements of the Contentious Probate Solicitor: • Qualified Solicitor admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in England and Wales • Current practising certificate with no restrictions • Minimum 3 years' PQE in contentious probate or litigation matters • Strong knowledge of probate litigation and dispute resolution • Ability to manage a varied caseload independently • Strong organisational, drafting and communication skills • Experience working with case management systemsThe Benefits for the Contentious Probate Solicitor role: • Competitive salary (DOE) • Generous performance-related bonus structure • 5 weeks' annual leave • Supportive team and collaborative working environment • Opportunity to work on complex and high-value contentious probate matters • Hybrid working options available • And more If you are a solicitor with experience in contentious probate looking to join a respected firm with strong progression and earning potential, apply today.
