A highly respected, technology-led engineering business is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to play a key role in the development of next-generation electrical and electronic systems used within advanced industrial equipment.

This is a hands-on senior role with responsibility for leading electrical designs, supporting new product development, and providing technical input across manufacturing and fielded systems. The position offers strong technical ownership, exposure to complex power electronics, and the opportunity to influence future product direction.

Key highlights:

• Lead electrical and electronic design for new equipment and systems
• Work on advanced power electronics and high-reliability circuitry
• Interface with suppliers and support commissioning activities
• Support existing products with technical problem-solving
• Blend of on-site collaboration with some flexible working

Ideal background:

• Degree-qualified in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent)
• Proven experience in power electronics and circuit fault-finding
• Comfortable taking ownership of designs from concept through delivery
• Strong communicator with a practical, problem-solving mindset
• Experience with PLCs, high-voltage systems, E-Plan, or safety standards is advantageous but not essential
