Research Scientist in Biokinetics (Crop Protection)

Our client, a leading R&D organization in agriculture, is seeking a dedicated Research Scientist to join their dynamic Bioperformance group. About the Opportunity:
In this role, you'll delve into the ADME (Absorption, Distribution, Metabolism, and Elimination) behavior of active ingredients. Your research will provide critical insights into performance characteristics such as selectivity and resistance, ultimately enhancing how crops are grown worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a variety of projects focused on product development and market support.
  • Design, plan, execute, and analyze experiments to understand how active ingredients interact with plants.
  • Perform lab and glasshouse assays, producing high-quality data on the bioavailability of agrochemicals.
  • Communicate findings through detailed reports and presentations.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.

What We're Looking For:
Essential Qualifications:

  • BSc or MSc (preferred) in Plant Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or Soil Science.
  • Minimum of two years of laboratory experience in a relevant setting.
  • Strong skills in scientific writing and communication.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in Pharmacology, Agronomy, Crop Protection, Biochemistry, or Analytical Chemistry.
  • Familiarity with handling large data sets and using data analysis tools.
  • Knowledge of the ADME study of active ingredients and experience with LC-MS.
  • Understanding of plant physiology and crop health.
