About the Role:

As a Research Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in understanding the ADME (Absorption, Distribution, Metabolism, and Elimination) behavior of active ingredients (AIs). Your work will help illuminate critical performance characteristics like selectivity and resistance, making a real impact on how crops are grown.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct Research: Perform laboratory and glasshouse assays to gather high-quality data on the bioavailability of novel agrochemicals.
• Design Experiments: Independently design, plan, execute, and analyze experiments focusing on interactions between AIs and biological systems.
• Data Interpretation: Analyze and interpret data, presenting your conclusions in detailed reports and engaging presentations.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-disciplinary colleagues, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
• HSE Compliance: Implement health, safety, and environmental actions to maintain operational standards.

What We're Looking For:

Essential Qualifications:

• BSc or MSc (preferred) in Biological Science, with a focus on plant, insect, or fungal biology, biochemistry, or chemistry.
• A minimum of two years of relevant laboratory experience in a professional or academic setting.
• Strong scientific writing skills and fluency in English.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Experience in Pharmacology, Agronomy, Crop Protection, Biochemistry, or Analytical Chemistry.
• Familiarity with ADME studies and analysing small molecules using LC-MS.
• Proficiency in handling large datasets and utilizing data visualization tools.
• Experience working with plants, soil, or seeds.
