Aspire People are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to work with a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) on a 1:1 and small group basis. This role will allow you to support a child's educational and emotional development, helping them to thrive both academically and socially.

Your Role:
Provide 1:1 and small group support for a child with ASD, both in class and during tailored interventions
Assist with creating and implementing personalised learning plans to meet the child's individual needs
Support the child in social interactions, helping them to build communication and behavioural skills
Foster a positive and nurturing learning environment, where the child feels supported and understood
Work alongside the class teacher and SENCO to monitor progress and adapt strategies accordingly
Encourage independence while offering the right level of support when needed
Assist with tasks such as phonics, literacy, numeracy, and general classroom management
The Ideal Candidate:
Experience working with children with ASD (desirable but not essential)
A compassionate, patient, and flexible approach to supporting children with additional needs
A genuine interest in helping children reach their full potential
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
A willingness to learn and develop within the role
Previous experience as a teaching assistant or in a similar role is desirable but not essential
