Principal Electrical Design Engineer

If so this exciting new role could be for you! Our client is engineering tool provider with customers using their process solutions for a wide range of uses. They are looking for an Principal Electrical Design Engineer to join the team and help them achieve our mission of providing the best solutions for customers.

Your role responsibilities:

• Work with other designers and departments to ensure specifications are clear and complete.
• Ensure our designs are of world class quality and right first time
• Work with other departments to translate the technical requirements into structured modular designs.
• Be proficient in the use of AutoCAD Electrical, Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Liaise with sub-contractors and, where necessary, carry out supplier/site visits.
• Development of design-related tools and automation.
• Help less experienced staff to grow their skills
• Improvement in departmental processes.
• Support the Electrical Engineering Manager with the running of the department.

Requirements

• Experience in designing machine control systems
• Degree qualified in a relevant discipline, Postgraduate preferred.
• Problem solving skills
• Ability to analyse data
• Process development skills
• Methodical and organised
• Computer literacy, including MS Office
• AutoCAD Electrical
• Leadership expereince

Hours : 37 hours a week

Monday Thursday 8 5

Friday - Half day

Salary - £55,000 - £70,000
