Job Description
A leading construction business is seeking an experienced Project Director to lead a portfolio of fast-paced fit-out projects across the UK. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior leader who combines technical expertise with strategic thinking and can drive teams to deliver exceptional results. Previous experience working with government clients is beneficial but not essential.
About the Role
As Project Director, you will provide clear leadership and strategic direction, ensuring projects are delivered safely, profitably, and to the highest standards. You will also support the development of your team and maintain excellent client relationships. The role will involve travel to project sites nationwide.
Key Responsibilities
Lead project teams and manage supply chains to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards
Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations and promote a culture of safety excellence
Foster a continuous improvement culture, encouraging input from all team members
Manage design strategies, coordinate with architects, engineers, and consultants, and oversee finishes, materials, and FF&E
Develop project delivery programs, manage subcontractors, and implement procurement strategies
Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to safeguard project outcomes
About You
Proven experience as a Project Director on fit-out or fast-paced construction projects
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams
Excellent technical, commercial, and stakeholder management skills
Strategic thinker with operational awareness and problem-solving capability
Previous experience working with government clients is advantageous but not required
