Harris Hill is delighted to be supporting English National Opera (ENO) in the appointment of a Senior Philanthropy Manager, a key role within a dynamic and ambitious fundraising team.

Salary: £50,000 £55,000

This is a fantastic opportunity to join at an exciting time, playing a central role in growing philanthropic income and building meaningful relationships with high-net-worth individuals to support a wide range of artistic, participation and learning programmes.

What the role is about:
The Senior Philanthropy Manager will be responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, typically giving or capable of giving £10,000+. They will design and deliver tailored cultivation and stewardship strategies to deepen engagement and secure major gifts.

The role will involve creating bespoke donor experiences, working closely with senior stakeholders including trustees and artistic colleagues, and supporting high-level fundraising activity. The postholder will also contribute to appeals and campaigns, identify and engage new prospects, and play a key role in delivering a strong and sustainable major donor pipeline.

Key experience:

  • They are particularly keen to hear from candidates with a strong track record of securing five and six-figure gifts, alongside excellent relationship management and communication skills
  • Ideally, experience within the arts, theatre or opera sector
  • Experience of managing high-value donor relationships and delivering tailored cultivation strategies
  • A strong ability to translate complex projects into compelling cases for support, alongside a genuine passion for the arts and their impact
