Hours: 6:30am - 2:30pm
We're looking for a reliable and hardworking Storeman to join a high-end contract catering operation in Central London, supporting a busy and fast-paced kitchen team.
This is a key role within the operation, ensuring the smooth flow of goods, organisation of storage areas, and supporting the wider kitchen when needed. It would suit someone who enjoys being hands-on, takes pride in staying organised, and thrives in a physically active role.
The Role
Working closely with the kitchen and back-of-house team, you'll be responsible for managing deliveries, maintaining stock areas, and supporting daily kitchen operations.
This is a fast-paced environment, so you'll need to be proactive, flexible, and happy to roll your sleeves up when required.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving, checking, and organising daily deliveries
Managing and maintaining clean, organised storage areas
Ensuring stock is stored correctly and rotated in line with food safety standards
Supporting with stock control and inventory management
Assisting the kitchen team when required, including washing up and basic kitchen support
Handling heavy lifting and manual tasks throughout the day
Helping maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across back-of-house areas
What We're Looking For
Previous experience in a similar Storeman, Porter, or Kitchen Assistant role is ideal
Someone physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and heavy lifting
A strong team player who is happy to support wherever needed
Positive attitude and willingness to get involved with the wider kitchen team
Good organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work efficiently in a busy, fast-paced environment
