Quantity Surveyor

BMC Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join a client who are in the healthcare sector based in Peterborough.

About the Role:
- Day rate: £250/£300
- Contract position
- Standard working hours
- Collaborative and supportive work environment

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyse costings for tenders
- Manage all costs relating to building and civil engineering projects
- Conduct feasibility studies to estimate materials, time, and labour costs
- Negotiate and procure materials and subcontractor services
- Monitor project progress and control costs
- Prepare and present detailed reports
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and project managers

About you:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor
- Previous experience in the healthcare sector is highly desirable
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Proficient in relevant software and tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills
