Join a Growing Engineering Team

An established and expanding facilities management provider is seeking an experienced Fire & Security and Emergency Lighting Engineer to join their professional team.

This field-based role involves working across a variety of client sites, carrying out installation, maintenance, commissioning, and fault finding on fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, and intruder alarm systems.

With door-to-door pay, overtime, and ongoing technical training, this position offers excellent long-term stability and development within a supportive engineering team.



Key Responsibilities

  • Install, service, and commission fire alarm systems
  • Install and maintain emergency lighting systems
  • Install, service, and diagnose faults on intruder alarm systems
  • Carry out PPM (planned preventative maintenance) and reactive works
  • Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently and to high standards
  • Ensure all work complies with current fire safety legislation and regulations
  • Maintain accurate reports, documentation, and client records
  • Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams
  • Represent the business professionally on client sites


Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • FIA Units 1 & 2 (Fire Industry Association)
  • Proven experience with fire alarms, emergency lighting, and intruder alarm systems
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability
  • Full UK Driving Licence


Desirable Skills & Qualifications

  • 18th Edition (City & Guilds 2382-22) - BS 7671
  • Additional Fire & Security industry certifications
  • Experience working in commercial or retail environments
  • Knowledge of current fire safety and electrical regulations

Package & Benefits

  • Salary 34,000 - 40,000 (DOE)

Working Hours

  • 38-hour standard working week
  • Overtime available
  • On-call rota: approx. 1 week in every 7-8 weeks
