Join a Growing Engineering Team
An established and expanding facilities management provider is seeking an experienced Fire & Security and Emergency Lighting Engineer to join their professional team.
This field-based role involves working across a variety of client sites, carrying out installation, maintenance, commissioning, and fault finding on fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, and intruder alarm systems.
With door-to-door pay, overtime, and ongoing technical training, this position offers excellent long-term stability and development within a supportive engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, service, and commission fire alarm systems
- Install and maintain emergency lighting systems
- Install, service, and diagnose faults on intruder alarm systems
- Carry out PPM (planned preventative maintenance) and reactive works
- Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently and to high standards
- Ensure all work complies with current fire safety legislation and regulations
- Maintain accurate reports, documentation, and client records
- Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams
- Represent the business professionally on client sites
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- FIA Units 1 & 2 (Fire Industry Association)
- Proven experience with fire alarms, emergency lighting, and intruder alarm systems
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability
- Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable Skills & Qualifications
- 18th Edition (City & Guilds 2382-22) - BS 7671
- Additional Fire & Security industry certifications
- Experience working in commercial or retail environments
- Knowledge of current fire safety and electrical regulations

- Salary 34,000 - 40,000 (DOE)

Working Hours
- 38-hour standard working week
- Overtime available
- On-call rota: approx. 1 week in every 7-8 weeks
