FLT Counterbalance / Goods In Operative
Location: Birstall, Batley
Contract: Agency Temp to Perm (Full-Time)
Shifts: Rotating Days & Lates
We are currently recruiting an experienced FLT Counterbalance / Goods In Operative to join a well-established, global manufacturing organisation operating at the forefront of its industry.
This is a full-time role starting on an agency temp-to-perm basis, offering long-term stability and progression. The role is based in a busy manufacturing and distribution environment and involves working both indoors and outdoors.
Shift Pattern:
Week 1 - Days
Monday to Thursday: 6:00am - 2:00pm
Friday: 6:00am - 1:00pm
Week 2 - Lates
Monday to Thursday: 2:00pm - 9:30pm
Friday: 1:00pm - 7:00pm
Pay Rates:
14.14 per hour (starting rate)
14.77 per hour after 12 weeks
Key Responsibilities:
- Safe and efficient operation of a Counterbalance Forklift Truck
- Goods In duties including unloading, checking, and booking in deliveries
- Movement and storage of materials across internal warehouse areas and external yard areas
- Supplying materials to production as required
- Maintaining accurate stock records and supporting inventory control
- Following all health & safety, quality, and site procedures
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping
Requirements:
- Valid FLT Counterbalance licence (in date)
- Previous experience in Goods In, warehouse, manufacturing, or yard-based roles
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors
- Ability to work rotating days and lates shifts
- Strong health & safety awareness
- Reliable, proactive approach with good attention to detail
- Team player with a strong work ethic
