The opportunity

We re working with a well-established client to recruit a Financial Accountant to join their finance team in Telford. This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working at pace and being involved across multiple areas of finance and business operations.

You ll support the day-to-day running of finance, ensuring processes are completed accurately and on time while also getting involved in wider administrative and operational tasks.

Key responsibilities as a Financial Accountant

• Processing invoices and receipts

• Managing weekly payment runs and issuing remittance advice

• Updating financial information within the system

• Sales Ledger

• Credit control

• Reporting

• Carrying out daily bank reconciliations

• Processing expenses

• General Ledger tasks

• VAT Reporting

• Budgeting and Forecasting

• Auditing

• Supporting other departments when required

What we re looking for

• AAT Level 3 minimum, ideally Level 4 qualified
• Previous experience in a finance or accounts-based role
• Experience using Oracle or a similar ERP system would be beneficial
• Good working knowledge of Excel and standard IT systems
• Strong organisation and time management skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Able to manage workloads and meet deadlines in a busy environment

• Confident communicator with a proactive approach
