Salary: £47,299 + 15% Night Shift Allowance

A leading food manufacturing business is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join its engineering team at a large, modern production facility in Methwold. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a purpose-driven organisation operating at scale within a fast-paced FMCG environment.

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving the performance, reliability, and safety of all manufacturing assets across the site. You'll be responsible for delivering both preventative and reactive maintenance while supporting continuous improvement and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities include:

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs across site equipment
• Ensuring plant and machinery remain compliant with statutory and insurance requirements
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and engineering-led transformation projects
• Diagnosing faults, performing root cause analysis, and implementing long-term solutions
• Working collaboratively with production teams to minimise downtime and maximise output

We are keen to speak with engineers who are proactive, solutions-focused, and comfortable working in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

You should ideally have:

• Time-served engineering qualifications with a multi-skilled (electrical/mechanical) bias
• Experience working with maintenance management systems and structured maintenance processes
• Strong knowledge of health & safety, quality standards, and machine operation
• Familiarity with maintenance best practice and continuous improvement methodologies
• Excellent fault-finding and root cause analysis skills

Experience within food manufacturing or FMCG would be advantageous, but not essential.

• £47,299 basic salary + 15% night shift allowance
