Job Description

An excellent job opportunity has arisen at an established accountancy firm in Lincoln for a Bookkeeper. The firm are flexible and can consider both full-time applicants, and those seeking part-time hours, between 18 and 30 per week, with flexibility on the way the hours are organised across the working week.

Responsibilities:

Building strong client relationships is a core value for the company and so a personable and approachable attitude to work is a must. You must be a good communicator, professional and work well as both part of a team and individually.

  • Process and reconcile internal and client accounting transactions.
  • Prepare quarterly VAT returns for review where required.
  • Liaise with clients as necessary to help them keep up to date with their accounting records.
  • Support Account Managers on client bookkeeping matters.
  • Preparation of financial and management information.
  • Maintaining sales and purchase ledgers.
  • Bank and cash account reconciliation.
  • Supporting clients with advice in respect of management information and financial reporting.
  • Preparation of Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) returns.
