We are recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established and highly respected aerospace manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a critical engineering environment supporting high-spec production processes in a company that values quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.

The Role

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring all plant equipment, machinery, and site facilities operate safely, efficiently, and in line with regulatory standards. This position combines hands-on maintenance with compliance, documentation, and contractor coordination responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and minimise downtime across plant equipment
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and environmental standards
  • Conduct routine safety checks (e.g. fire alarms, emergency systems)
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance and site inspections
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and asset documentation
  • Source and procure parts, tools, and consumables
  • Coordinate subcontractors for servicing and statutory inspections
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across maintenance processes
  • Work safely at height when required

About You

  • Strong mechanical maintenance background (essential)
  • Electrical knowledge or qualifications (desirable)
  • Experience within manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environments
  • Knowledge of compliance and regulatory standards
  • Welding experience (advantageous)
  • Forklift licence (desirable)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Good IT skills and confident with documentation/reporting

  • Maintenance planning and fault-finding expertise

  • Experience with audits, compliance, and reporting

Working Hours

  • Monday Thursday: 7:30am 4:00pm
  • Friday: 7:30am 1:30pm
