The Project Director's role

The Project Director will lead the successful delivery of complex construction projects from inception through to completion, ensuring programmes, budgets and quality standards are achieved. The Project Director will act as the senior point of contact for clients, providing trusted advice and building long-term relationships. Working closely with internal teams, the Project Director will oversee project governance, resource planning, risk management and commercial performance. The Project Director will also support business development activity, contribute to winning new work and help shape the direction of the Manchester office.



The Project Director

The successful Project Director will have:

  • Significant experience as a Project Director, Senior Project Manager or similar within a construction consultancy or client-side environment
  • A strong track record of delivering large-scale projects across sectors such as commercial, residential, mixed-use, education or public sector
  • Excellent client-facing, leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong commercial awareness and experience managing fees, risk and programme performance
  • Degree qualified in a construction-related discipline
  • Professional membership such as MRICS, MCIOB, MAPM or equivalent, ideally chartered
  • A strong understanding of project management methodologies, procurement routes and contract administration
