Machine Operator

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Machine/Production Operative to join our clients manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining various production machinery, ensuring efficient and high-quality output. Duties

• Operate a range of manufacturing equipment, including automated and manual plant machinery including CNC
• Assist with materials handling, including loading, unloading, and organising raw materials and finished products
• Use hand tools and tooling to assemble components according to specifications
• Conduct routine inspections of machinery to ensure safety and operational standards are met
• Perform basic maintenance, cleaning, and calibration of equipment
• Support the assembly process by following detailed instructions and quality standards
• Maintain organised work areas in accordance with health and safety regulations

Requirements

• Proven experience in fabrication, machining, or manufacturing environments; warehouse experience is advantageous
• Competence in using hand tools, tooling, and materials handling equipment
• Basic maths skills for measuring, calculations, and interpreting technical drawings
• Strong understanding of materials effectively and handling procedures in a manufacturing setting
• Good organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure quality standards are maintained
• Prior experience with assembly tasks or working within a warehouse environment is beneficial
