Group Accountant

We re hiring a forward-thinking Group Audit Accountant to join our Client s growing business in a high-impact, standalone role. Equivalent in scope to a Group Accountant, this position offers the opportunity to take real ownership of audit, technical accounting, and group reporting, working directly with the CFO.

The Role
You ll play a key role across the finance function, including:

• Leading the external audit process and acting as the main point of contact for auditors
• Owning group consolidations and financial reporting across multiple entities and currencies
• Supporting statutory accounts and tax reporting in collaboration with external advisors
• Driving the transition to updated FRS 102 (with future IFRS alignment)
• Strengthening financial controls, processes, and documentation across the group
• Supporting wider finance initiatives including system improvements and potential M&A activity

About You

• Fully qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
• Strong background in audit and technical accounting (practice or industry)
• Experience in a multi-entity or group environment
• Confident working autonomously with senior stakeholders
• Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable in a challenging, fast-moving business
