Sustaining Engineer

Our OEM Client based in Gaydon, is searching for a Sustaining Engineer to join their team, Inside IR35. This is a maternity cover contract position with a proposed end date of 12th February 2027.

Umbrella Pay Rate: £33.64 per hour.

Duties:

• Researches, develops, and prepares specifications for improvements to existing and/or new products, processes, equipment, and technology.
• Identifies quality and cost improvement opportunities. Evaluates, develops and verifies product concepts to ensure products being developed are reliable and conform to specifications.

Responsibilities typically include:

• Managing large projects or processes with limited oversight from manager.
• Coaching, reviewing and delegating work to lower-level professionals.
• Problems faced are difficult and often complex.
