What You Will Be Doing

As an HGV Technician / Truck Technician / Commercial Vehicle Technician you will be responsible for:

  • Performing major and minor repairs on HGVs, trailers and commercial vehicles to DVSA and manufacturer standards
  • Carrying out inspections and preventive maintenance as an experienced Truck Technician
  • Diagnosing faults and assisting with repair planning using appropriate diagnostic tools
  • Maintaining accurate workshop records and documentation
  • Providing emergency roadside support when required as an HGV Technician
  • Ensuring a safe, clean and compliant working environment at all times

Pay and Benefits

What You Will Need

To be considered as an HGV Technician, Truck Technician or Commercial Vehicle Technician you will need:

  • Proven experience as an HGV Technician, Truck Technician or Commercial Vehicle Technician within a fleet or workshop environment
  • Level 3 qualification in HGV Vehicle Repair and Maintenance (NVQ / City & Guilds / IMI or equivalent)
  • Experience in diagnostics and service repairs on HGVs
  • Ability to identify worn or faulty components to DVSA standards
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure
