Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site surveys and attend client meetings to gather information for accurate cost plans.
- Review tender documentation and drawings to perform detailed material take-offs.
- Liaise with design teams and the supply chain to obtain and review competitive quotations.
- Develop comprehensive technical proposals using estimating software like Trimble for formal submission.
- Manage technical information flows, including RFIs and TQs, to ensure all prime costs and margins are captured.
Requirements
- Proven electrical background (UPS, LV, or Industrial installations) with the ability to read complex schematics.
- Previous experience in M&E estimating or a strong desire for a supervisor to move into an office based technical role.
- Strong understanding of project scope, technical bids, and industrial building services.
- Based locally to Manchester and willing to work from the Chadderton office daily.
- Experience with Trimble estimating software or critical environment projects is highly desirable.
