Maintenance Engineer
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £50,000
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off (Days & Nights)
Role Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established, global manufacturing business within a highly regulated industrial environment.
This role is ideal for an engineer with both mechanical and electrical experience, looking to develop their career within a major brand offering long-term stability and progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across production and site equipment
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults to minimise downtime
- Maintain and troubleshoot industrial systems including steam, water, and associated utilities
- Support the continuous operation of manufacturing processes in a high-performance production environment
- Conduct equipment inspections and ensure machinery is operating safely and efficiently
- Assist with installation, commissioning, and improvement of new and existing equipment
- Work collaboratively with production teams to drive reliability and efficiency improvements
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety regulations and company standards
- Accurately complete maintenance documentation and reports
Skills & Experience Required
- Strong background in both mechanical and electrical maintenance
- Experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Knowledge of steam systems, water systems, and industrial utilities
- Proven ability in fault finding and problem solving
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Relevant engineering qualification (NVQ, HNC/HND or equivalent)
