Job Title: Civil Operative (Competent Person - NSI 6 & 8 / HSG 47) - Substation Works

Location: Pembroke Substation
Rate: 30 per hour

Job Description:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Operative to work on substation projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring safe and compliant operations within a live HV (High Voltage) substation environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage access to a live HV substation in strict accordance with NG NSI Safety Rules
• Ensure safe access and egress for delivery vehicles and plant within the substation
• Carry out general groundworks duties to a high standard
• Maintain a safe working environment at all times
• Adhere to all health & safety regulations, including HSG 47 guidelines

Essential Requirements:

• Civil Operative (Competent Person) certification
• NSI 6 & 8 accreditation (National Grid)
• Proven experience working within live substations
• HSG 47
• Manual Handling certification
• Relevant groundworks experience

Desirable Information:

• Candidates must hold all required certifications and tickets - applications without these will not be considered
• Full PPE is mandatory prior to starting on site
