We are currently recruiting for a Grounds Maintenance Operative based in Bow, East London. This is a full time permanent role working 48 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 6.00am to 4.00pm.
The rate of pay is 14.80 per hour, equating to an annual salary of 36,940.80.
You will be working for a growing company, as part of a two-person mobile team, maintaining a range of commercial, residential, and public spaces across East London.
The yard is based in Bow.
Due to the nature of the role, a full UK driving licence is essential, as you will be required to drive and cover routes when needed.
This role offers structured hours, consistent work, and long-term stability.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general grounds maintenance across multiple sites
- Complete grass cutting, hedge cutting, and pruning
- Undertake strimming, edging, and weed control
- Carry out litter picking and general site tidying
- Support planting and seasonal garden work
- Maintain clean, safe, and well-presented sites
- Work efficiently as part of a two-person team
- Use tools and machinery safely
Requirements
- Previous grounds maintenance or gardening experience
- Full UK driving licence essential
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather
- Good understanding of safe working practices
