Research and Development Manager

We are seeking an experienced and driven Research & Development Manager to lead a small team on a permanent basis. This role will be instrumental in developing and enhancing the company's products and services, supporting ambitious growth plans within the industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage new product development projects from concept through to completion
• Design, test, and develop innovative products
• Interpret R&D briefs and ensure successful delivery of projects on time and within budget
• Collaborate effectively with all areas of the business to ensure design considerations are fully explored
• Provide regular updates and reports to the R&D European Director and Dirctors
• Offer technical support to internal departments and customers when required
• Chair and participate in design review meetings
• Work closely with the production team to ensure seamless product implementation

Experience & Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)
• Relevant work-based experience or apprenticeship
• Strong knowledge of both electrical and mechanical design principles
• Proficiency in CAD software, including SolidWorks and AutoCAD
• Desirable knowledge of PLC programming

Working Hours

• Monday to Thursday: 08:45 - 17:00
• Friday: 09:00 - 16:00
