Leading the development of complex electromechanical medical devices

Leading the design and transition to manufacture of complex electromechanical medical devices, this role will involve you in managing development projects, and helping steer technical direction. Your remit will include requirements capture, progress reporting, and issue resolution, so you can expect frequent contact with clients, and of course you will have an eye out for future business opportunities. You'll be leading multidisciplinary development teams as well as having direct engineering input to help deliver finished solutions. Tasks may include innovative product design, problem solving, prototyping, supporting transfer to manufacture, and managing suppliers.
The role is on-site in the company's Cambridge offices with occasional visits to clients and manufacturers expected. Some home working may be possible for part of the week, where project work permits.

The following skills are nice-to-haves that would enhance your application: CAD design (particularly with SolidWorks), plastics and injection moulding, medical device regulations (including familiarity with the processes/documentation needed for FDA and ISO approval).
