Job Description

To maintain high level of cleanliness to an agreed standards/targets throughout the whole site, including specified buildings and external areas along with providing production, packing and warehouse cover as required.

Location: Whitley Bridge, Goole
Salary: Competitive

Hours: The shift pattern for this role is Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.

The role:

  • Ensure that cleaning is carried out in line with the site cleaning system / standards and is correctly recorded and verified.
  • To ensure all areas are ready and suitable for audit inspection at any time.
  • To ensure all timelines are adhered to.
  • Ensure all correct equipment is used and maintained to the highest of standards.
  • Ensure all correct colour coding is utilised in the correct areas.
  • Ensure all Health & Safety regulations are adhered to.
  • Manual tipping of raw materials.
  • Learn other production/warehouse roles on site and cover when required.
  • Carry out CCP checks as required.
  • Flour testing to ensure customer specification are being adhered to.
  • Undertake maintenance activities as required.
  • Ensure that all appropriate records and reports are completed in a timely fashion - especially the reporting of safety related issues.
  • To move to any area of the site to complete tasks/duties as requested.
  • Attend any training as laid out by Whitworth Bros Ltd.
  • Carry out Pest control activities in line with Whitworth Bros Ltd standard.
  • Conformance to company / legal requirements with regards to waste, effluent, and environmental issues.
  • Carry out Bin dipping as required.
  • Complete all reasonable requests from your line manager.

Desirable experience:

- Level 2 (Basic) Certificate in Food Safety

- Previous experience within the food industry

- Counterbalance Forklift truck licence.

- Manual handling
