Pay: 16.00 - 18.00 per hour
Hours: Monday to Thursday 07:00 - 17:15 (39 hours per week)

The Role

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this role is key to supporting, growing, and continuously improving manufacturing processes.

• Set and operate Mazak machines across various platforms
• Carry out machine changeovers for a variety of components
• Work closely with quality teams during first-off production
• Support daily production to ensure delivery targets are met
• Recommend and implement improved manufacturing techniques
• Work on cost reduction and continuous improvement projects
• Identify waste and implement process improvements
• Work closely with Engineering, Quality and Manufacturing teams on existing products and new product introduction

About You

• Proven experience within CNC production setting
• Experience setting 3, 4 and 5 axis CNC machines
• Support new component setup desirable
• Experience with first-off production, tooling and process setup
• Able to read and interpret 2D drawings and models
• Strong knowledge of machining techniques
• Experience working with aluminium, cast and steel components
• Knowledge of cutting tools and castings
• Experience with Mazak controls desirable (training provided)
