This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong mechanical and electrical assembly experience who enjoys working on technically advanced systems.
What You'll Be Doing
- Building complex electro-mechanical systems from engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions
- Mechanical assembly, wiring, and integration of components such as:
- PCBs
- Power supplies
- Cooling systems
- Server-based hardware
- Carrying out fault finding, repair, and rework on assemblies
- Interpreting electrical schematics and resolving issues
- Ensuring high-quality builds through self-checking and peer checks
- Supporting production targets and throughput
- Assisting with prototype builds and project work alongside engineering teams
- Contributing to Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintaining a safe, organised, and efficient work environment
What We're Looking For
- Experience assembling complex electro-mechanical products
- Ability to read and work from engineering drawings and wiring diagrams
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Confident working independently and as part of a team
- Good mechanical skills and general workshop experience
- A solid understanding of electrical and mechanical principles
- Familiarity with Lean, 5S, or continuous improvement (desirable)
- Good attention to detail and ability to work to high-quality standards
Working Hours
- Monday - Thursday: 08:00 - 16:00
- Friday: 08:00 - 15:30
- Potential to move into a shift-based role in future (with additional pay)

Qualifications:
- Experience of assembling complex electro-mechanical products
- Ability to work quickly and accurately with minimal supervision.
- Adaptability combined with good communication skills
- Ability to work on own initiative following company procedures
- Ability to perform basic testing and problem solving
- Ability to work accurately to procedures to produce work of consistent high quality
- Able to integrate well into an established team supporting and assisting colleagues when required
- GCSE level maths and English
- Good mechanical and workshop skills
- A good general technical and electro-mechanical mind-set -e.g. understanding of electrical and mechanical documentation, drawings and specifications
- Understanding of electrical and mechanical safety standards.
- Experience of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, BPD and Continuous Improvement.
- Initially Monday to Thursday 08:00-16:00 Friday 08:00-15:30 but may develop into a shift role in the future should the business require it. This would attract a shift premium.
