Structural Engineer Stockport, Greater Manchester 35,000 - 45,000 DOE Residential & Commercial Projects Independent Consultancy I'm working with a well-established civil and structural engineering consultancy in Stockport who are looking to appoint a Structural Engineer with around 4-8 years' experience to join their friendly, close-knit team. The practice has been operating for many years and has built up a strong client base in the residential and commercial sectors - covering everything from bespoke new-build homes to multi-unit housing schemes, office developments, retail fit-outs and light industrial buildings. You'd be joining a team of around a dozen people, including engineers and technicians, where collaboration is key and no two days look the same. This is the type of consultancy where you'll have real variety, the freedom to get on with your work, and the chance to follow projects right through from initial concept to completion. A well-established design consultancy is seeking a Civils Technician to strengthen its busy highways and drainage design team. With a diverse project portfolio spanning commercial, industrial, and residential developments across the UK, this is an excellent opportunity to join an experienced group of engineers delivering high-quality, practical solutions for clients. In this role, you will support senior design staff with the preparation of detailed technical drawings and specifications for S38 and S278 highways and drainage schemes, using AutoCAD. Experience with Civils 3D is desirable, and you will also assist with structural detailing work where required. The position will involve contributing to S104 and S185 drainage applications, while working as part of a collaborative team that places emphasis on innovative but buildable design. Applicants should hold at least an HNC or HND in Civil Engineering and have two to three years of consultancy experience in highways and drainage design within the UK. Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential, while experience with Civils 3D and drainage software packages such as MicroDrainage or Flow will be advantageous. You should be confident working under minimal supervision, able to contribute actively to design solutions, and motivated to continue developing your technical skills.
