About the Role
Age UK is recruiting a Shop Manager for the Combs Ford store (IP14, Stowmarket). The Shop Manager will oversee day to day operations, lead a team of staff and volunteers, and ensure a high quality customer and donor experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the store's day to day running and team.
- Provide effective leadership, training and development for staff and volunteers.
- Maximise sales and profits while maintaining excellent shop experience for customers and donors.
- Maintain and develop retail processes and merchandising.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience in a performance driven, retail/customer centric environment.
- Experience of managing people.
- Ability to lift and carry bags of stock up to 10 kg.
- Ability to build, retain and develop a team.
- Strong drive to achieve results through others.
- Ability to delegate, coach and listen.
- Effective time management under conflicting priorities.
- Motivation and self motivation of others.
- Open and adaptable approach to change, supporting others through it.
- Experience of communicating with a diverse workforce and customers.
- Ability to establish and maintain successful retail processes and merchandising.
- IT and numeracy literacy.
Hours & Salary
Annual salary band: £26,110.50 - £32,487 per annum.
Work hours: 37.5 hours per week across a 7 day working week, including Saturdays and Sundays on a rota basis.
