The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Construction Solicitor to join a growing legal team within a global professional services environment in Manchester.

This role offers the chance to work as part of a developing construction offering within an established real estate practice, advising on a broad range of non-contentious construction matters. You will be involved in drafting and negotiating building contracts, professional appointments and collateral warranties, as well as advising on wider development and infrastructure projects.

Alongside technical legal work, you will play a key role in project managing transactions, collaborating with colleagues across multiple disciplines, and contributing to the delivery of integrated client solutions. There will also be opportunities to support the development of junior team members and help drive the continued growth of the practice.

This position is ideal for a commercially minded construction lawyer looking to step into a more dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment.

The Team

You will be joining a growing real estate legal team with an established client base spanning developers and major property investors. The team has expanded steadily and continues to invest in its construction capability as part of its wider growth strategy.

Working as part of a broader professional services platform, the team collaborates closely with colleagues across tax, consulting and deal advisory, offering a truly integrated service to clients. The culture is entrepreneurial, forward-thinking, and highly collaborative.

The Person

You will be a qualified solicitor with post-qualification experience in non-contentious construction law, ideally gained within a recognised law firm or in-house environment. The following attributes will support success in the role:

  • Experience advising on construction aspects of real estate development projects
  • Strong drafting skills across building contracts, professional appointments and ancillary documents
  • A commercial and pragmatic approach, with the ability to see the wider business context
  • Confidence in managing matters and driving projects forward
  • A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for working in a multi-disciplinary environment
  • An interest in mentoring junior colleagues and contributing to team development
  • A proactive and entrepreneurial approach to client relationships and business development

Experience in infrastructure projects or development finance arrangements would be advantageous but is not essential.

What's on Offer

This is a unique opportunity to join a rapidly growing legal offering within a global professional services platform. The role offers:

  • High-quality, varied work with leading real estate clients
  • Exposure to multi-disciplinary projects and international work
  • A genuinely different alternative to traditional private practice
  • Opportunities to contribute to the growth of a developing team
  • Flexible approach to pricing and delivery of legal services
  • Clear scope for career progression within an expanding practice
