Job Description

Occupational Therapist (Band 5 or Band 6) - Paediatric / SEN / Autism

  • West Sussex (Car driver essential due to location )
  • Ideally Full-time but part-time can be considered
  • Materboty contract commencing June 2026 for handover

We are recruiting on behalf of an Outstanding-rated independent specialist setting supporting children and young people aged 4-19 with autism and additional needs. This is an opportunity to join a highly collaborative, multi-disciplinary team where therapy is fully embedded into the school day.

What you'll be doing

  • Delivering individualised occupational therapy for pupils with autism
  • Supporting sensory processing, motor development, and daily living skills
  • Contributing to personalised learning and therapy plans
  • Working closely within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Supporting families to extend outcomes beyond the setting

This role is ideal for:

  • A Band 5 OT looking to move into paediatrics or SEN
  • A Band 6 OT seeking a more integrated and holistic role
  • Therapists with a passion for neurodiversity and functional outcomes
  • OTs who enjoy practical, engaging, and varied work

What you'll need

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • HCPC registration
  • Experience or interest in paediatrics / SEN / autism
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice
