Our client, a renowned Performance Automotive Company specialising in restoring and rebuilding iconic British sports cars, is seeking a skilled Classic Car Technician to join their dedicated team in Abingdon. This is an exceptional opportunity for experienced motor trade professionals passionate about Classic Cars and precise workmanship. The role of a Classic Car Technician is crucial in ensuring the preservation and modernisation of these exceptional vehicles.

  • Standard working hours from 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday
Duties of this Classic Car Technician role:
  • Assembling and fitting components using hand and power tools to create finished vehicles
  • Diagnosing and resolving running issues in classic cars
  • Creating and managing wiring in basic circuits throughout vehicles
  • Assembling, diagnosing, and reassembling engines and gearboxes
  • Performing mechanical procedures including servicing and general maintenance
  • Collaborating with team members to troubleshoot issues and develop effective solutions
  • Maintaining a clean and safe workshop environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
Requirements of this Classic Car Technician position:
  • Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicles, ideally including classic sports cars
  • Ability to diagnose faults, rectify issues, and undertake reassembly procedures
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
  • A solutions-focused mindset combined with a passion for automotive restoration
  • A valid UK driving licence with minimal points
  • Good team player with a proactive and reliable attitude
  • Additional experience in welding, fabrication, or vehicle body repairs is advantageous but not essential
