Position: Integration Developer
Location: Glasgow, UK (Hybrid 3 days onsite a week)
Duration: Fixed Term Contract

Job Description:
We are looking for an Integration Developer (3-5 years overall experience) who can design, develop, and maintain APIs and integration services that enable secure, reliable, and scalable communication between systems. The ideal candidate will support end-to-end integration across applications and platforms while ensuring alignment with architectural standards and business requirements. This role requires strong systems integration expertise, a solid understanding of enterprise integration patterns, and the ability to collaborate effectively with architecture, development, QA, and DevOps teams in complex delivery environments.

Technical Skills:
Strong experience in API and integration development using RESTful services, JSON, and HTTP-based protocols.
Experience working with integration frameworks, Middleware platforms, or microservices-based architecture.
Strong knowledge of API security concepts including authentication, authorization, OAuth, and JWT.
Experience integrating Back End systems, third-party services, and enterprise platforms.
Experience working in complex, enterprise-scale application environments.
Knowledge of API design standards
Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns (EIP)
Experience working with microservices, SOA, and hybrid architecture

Process Skills:
Design, develop, document, and support APIs and integration services in accordance with architectural standards.
Implement system-to-system integrations using industry-standard patterns to ensure reliability and scalability.
Develop and maintain API specifications, interface contracts, and support documentation.
Ensure integrations meet non-functional requirements related to security, performance, availability, and scalability.
Support integration testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and operational readiness activities.
Collaborate closely with architecture, development, QA, and DevOps teams within agile delivery models.
