Introduction
Acorn by Synergie is recruiting an experienced Material Handler (Sennebogen) & Wheeled Loading Shovel Operator for an ongoing position in Cardiff. This role offers the opportunity to join a busy recycling facility with a permanent contract available for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct pre-start checks and ensure machinery is safe and operational.
Operate Material Handlers (Sennebogen, Fuchs, Liebherr) or similar safely and efficiently.
Operate wheeled loading shovels and 360 excavators in line with site procedures.
Work to established protocols while adhering to cardinal safety rules.
Maintain a clean and organised work area.
Comply with site health, safety, and environmental policies.
Be prepared for due cause substance testing as required.
About You / Requirements
Previous experience operating Material Handlers and Wheeled Loading Shovels in recycling or similar facilities.
UK Driving Licence.
CPCS / NPORS or equivalent qualifications (desirable) for 360 Wheeled Excavator / Wheeled Loading Shovel.
Reliable, proactive, and safety-conscious.
Able to work 40-60 hours per week, including potential overtime.
