Working in teams to deliver quality installtions and remedial works. Our Client undertakes carpentry and maintenance work for Property Management Companies, Landlords and Property Owners. The suitable candidate will carpentry knowledge and the ability to undertake work including, fire door installation and carpentry maintenance. Responsibilities: Install fire doors in accordance with relevant fire safety regulations and standards, ensuring proper fitting, alignment, and functionality. Conduct fire door inspections, assessing their condition and identifying any deficiencies or areas of non-compliance. Carry out repairs and maintenance work on fire doors, including replacing damaged components, adjusting closers, and addressing issues with hinges, seals, or glazing. Install and test fire-rated hardware, such as panic bars, hinges, latches, and locks, ensuring they meet fire safety requirements. Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as electricians or plumbers, to coordinate projects involving fire doors and their integration with other building systems. Provide guidance and advice to clients and colleagues on fire door regulations, standards, and best practices. Document and maintain accurate records of fire door installations, repairs, and inspections. Stay updated on the latest fire safety regulations and industry trends related to fire doors, attending training sessions or workshops as necessary.
