Workshop Controller opportunity in Derby
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Workshop Controller to join a reputable main dealer in Derby. This is an ideal role for a skilled ex-Technician or Diagnostic Technician seeking to advance into a leadership position or for an experienced Workshop Controller aiming for a new challenge within a well-established dealership environment.

Duties of a workshop controller:
- Oversee day-to-day workshop activities to ensure smooth operations
- Manage and delegate tasks efficiently to technicians
- Monitor and meet productivity and efficiency targets
- Support front-of-house staff with customer interactions when required
- As a workshop controller, maintain high standards of quality, safety, and compliance across all workshop activities
- Ensure workshop meets manufacturer standards and conducts high-quality repairs
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Technician or Diagnostic Technician within a main dealer setting
- Previous experience managing or leading a team of technicians
- Strong organisational and leadership skills
- Confident in a customer-facing environment, with excellent communication skills
- Demonstrable knowledge of workshop processes and workshop management systems
- Reliable and proactive attitude with a focus on delivering excellent customer service
