Vehicle MET Technician opportunity in Swansea
Our client, a reputable and well-established independent accident repair centre in Swansea, is seeking a skilled Vehicle MET Technician to join their dedicated team. Duties of a MET Technician:
- Accurately and efficiently undertake removal and reassembly of mechanical, electrical, and trim components on vehicles
- Identify hidden damage post-stripping and collaborate with colleagues to compile parts and labour estimates
- Complete all work in accordance with manufacturer standards and safety regulations
- Support the diagnosis of damage and ensure repairs are carried out to high standards
- MET Technicians Prioritise workload effectively to meet deadlines and customer expectations
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of work carried out
- Support team members during busy periods and contribute to a professional workshop environment
Requirements:
- Recognised qualification in automotive MET/vehicle body repair or working towards an IMI qualification
- Individuals with extensive hands-on experience in vehicle body repair/strip and fit will also be considered
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Able to work independently and as part of a team, multitasking effectively during busy periods
- Full UK driving licence with minimal points
- Proven track record in vehicle MET work, preferably within a busy accident repair environment
