Vehicle MET Technician opportunity in Swansea

Our client, a reputable and well-established independent accident repair centre in Swansea, is seeking a skilled Vehicle MET Technician to join their dedicated team. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced automotive professionals looking to develop their career within a family-run business that values quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Duties of a MET Technician:

  • Accurately and efficiently undertake removal and reassembly of mechanical, electrical, and trim components on vehicles
  • Identify hidden damage post-stripping and collaborate with colleagues to compile parts and labour estimates
  • Complete all work in accordance with manufacturer standards and safety regulations
  • Support the diagnosis of damage and ensure repairs are carried out to high standards
  • MET Technicians Prioritise workload effectively to meet deadlines and customer expectations
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of work carried out
  • Support team members during busy periods and contribute to a professional workshop environment

Requirements:

  • Recognised qualification in automotive MET/vehicle body repair or working towards an IMI qualification
  • Individuals with extensive hands-on experience in vehicle body repair/strip and fit will also be considered
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team, multitasking effectively during busy periods
  • Full UK driving licence with minimal points
  • Proven track record in vehicle MET work, preferably within a busy accident repair environment
