Our client, a prominent educational institution located in Harrow, London, is seeking a dedicated and experienced General Teaching Assistant to join their dynamic team. As a General Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the national curriculum, a proven track record of supporting student learning, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Provide one-to-one and small-group support to students, focusing on their academic, social, and emotional development
  • Assist with the planning and preparation of lesson materials, ensuring resources are available and organised
  • Collaborate with teachers to implement differentiated learning strategies that cater to the diverse needs of students
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment, adhering to all relevant policies and procedures

  • A relevant educational qualification, such as a degree in Education or a related field
  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role
