Fitter

Location: Walsall Area
Pay Rate: £17.00 per hour
Shift: Day Shift

• Monday Thursday: 7:54am 4:30pm
• Friday: 7:54am 1:30pm

We are currently seeking an experienced Fitter to join our team based in the Walsall area. This role involves hands-on work on large structural projects including bridges, ships, and industrial tanks.

This Fitter role is workshop-based and requires a strong background in manual metalwork rather than purely machine-led processes.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate:

• Proven experience working with stainless steel and carbon steel
• Previous experience carrying out fitting work, including plater-level tasks
• Ability to cut, shape, and form metal by hand
• Willingness to provide examples of previous metalwork projects
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Experience using a wide range of hand tools
• Practical, hands-on fabrication experience (not just machine operation)

• Tacking / tack welding experience

• £17.00 per hour
• Day shifts with an early Friday finish
• Long-term work on reputable, large-scale steel projects
