Job Description

Our client are a global leader in security scanning systems and currently experiencing high levels of growth. As such, they are seeking an additional Assembly Technician to join their production team

Duties

  • Building of high tech, complex machines from engineering drawings, diagrams and work instructions
  • Undertake repair and rework of mechanical assemblies
  • Interpret Electrical Wire schematics and undertake fault finding and rectification
  • Responsible for quality of build
  • Undertake prototype assembly and assist with Manufacturing Engineering on Project work.

Requirements

  • Experience of assembling complex electro-mechanical products
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to perform basic testing and problem solving
  • GCSE level maths and English
  • Good mechanical and workshop skills
  • A good general technical and electro-mechanical mind-set e.g. understanding of electrical and mechanical documentation, drawings and specifications

Hours of work:

Initially Mon-Fri 8.00 to 4.00pm with a 3.30pm finish on Fri but may change to a shift role in the future as follows:

Mon-Fri 6am till 2pm and 2pm till 10pm
