Senior MEP Project Manager (Mechanical Bias)

A leading international project development and construction group is seeking a Senior MEP Project Manager (Mechanical) to join its Building Services team on a flagship Central London commercial new build scheme.
This organisation is recognised for delivering complex, high-value projects across the UK and globally, with a strong focus on sustainability, innovation, and responsible construction.
The Role
Reporting to the Project Director, you will take ownership of the mechanical-led MEP delivery on a major shell & core commercial development, ensuring successful execution across all project phases.
You will lead the day-to-day operational management of MEP packages, working within a wider JV construction team to deliver against programme, commercial targets, and quality expectations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading design, procurement, installation, commissioning, and handover of MEP packages
- Ensuring full compliance across engineering, construction, and commissioning processes
- Adding value through design challenge and buildability improvements, driving efficiency and reducing whole-life cost
- Managing programme delivery, including milestones, sequencing, and contingency planning (Plan B)
- Overseeing commercial performance, including forecasting, CVR input, and profit improvement strategies
- Managing and coordinating multi-disciplinary interfaces across the project
- Driving HSEQ compliance and ensuring alignment with project governance standards
- Capturing and implementing lessons learned for continuous improvement
The Candidate
You will be an experienced MEP professional with a strong mechanical bias and a proven track record delivering large-scale commercial developments in London.
You will demonstrate:
- Experience leading MEP delivery on major commercial schemes ( 25M+ MEP value)
- Strong capability managing complex project teams and multi-disciplinary interfaces
- Proven track record delivering projects to programme and within commercial constraints
- In-depth understanding of mechanical building services, with broader MEP knowledge
- Ability to develop, scrutinise, and manage detailed project programmes
- Strong commercial awareness, including financial forecasting and cost control
- Formal H&S qualifications, including SMSTS
