Job Title: Paralegal

Reports to: Head of Department

Overview

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Paralegal to join a growing and supportive legal practice. This role is ideally suited to a recent law graduate or an individual at the early stages of their legal career seeking hands-on experience in a professional environment.

You will gain exposure to a variety of legal matters while supporting experienced fee earners, developing practical skills, and building a strong foundation for future qualification and progression.

Key Objectives
  • Provide effective administrative and legal support to fee earners
  • Develop practical legal skills and knowledge across a range of matters
  • Deliver a high standard of client care and professionalism
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the preparation of legal documents and correspondence
  • Support fee earners with file management and administrative tasks
  • Conduct basic legal research under supervision
  • Handle initial client enquiries via phone and email in a professional manner
  • Open and maintain client files, ensuring compliance with procedures
  • Prepare bundles and documentation for meetings and hearings
  • Liaise with clients and third parties as directed
  • Attend meetings and take accurate notes where required
  • Assist with general office and departmental administration
Skills & Experience
  • Law degree (LLB) or equivalent (preferred)
  • Previous legal work experience or internships (desirable but not essential)
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage tasks effectively and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
