Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting on-site diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance of forklift trucks to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Performing scheduled maintenance tasks, including inspections, lubrication, and part replacements, in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
  • Troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems to identify and resolve issues promptly.
  • Utilizing diagnostic tools and software to analyze forklift performance and identify potential faults.
  • Communicating effectively with clients to understand their requirements, provide technical advice, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Documenting all service activities, including parts used, repairs completed, and recommendations for future maintenance, accurately and comprehensively.
  • Collaborating with the service team to coordinate work schedules, prioritize tasks, and ensure efficient workflow.
  • Adhering to safety protocols and regulations while working on client sites, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Forklift Engineer or similar role, with expertise in repairing diesel, gas, and electric forklift trucks.
  • Strong technical knowledge of forklift truck systems, including engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and electrical components.
  • Proficiency in diagnostic tools and software used for troubleshooting and analyzing forklift performance.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently to resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
  • A proactive attitude towards learning and staying updated with advancements in forklift technology and repair techniques.
  • Flexibility to travel to client sites as required and a valid driver's license.
  • Commitment to safety practices and the ability to adhere to company and industry regulations.
