We are supporting a Battery Energy Storage System project and are seeking an experienced SCADA / Automation Engineer to support commissioning and integration activities on a live, safety-critical site.
This is a hands-on engineering role, requiring strong practical experience rather than purely design or office-based SCADA work.
Key Responsibilities
- Support SCADA and automation system integration on a BESS site
- Work with PLC systems and industrial communications
- Configure and troubleshoot Modbus (TCP/RTU)
- Support fibre optic communications setup and testing
- Assist with commissioning and site integration activities
- Map SCADA systems to physical site equipment
- Provide both on-site and remote technical support
Essential Experience
- Strong SCADA / Automation engineering background
- Hands-on experience with PLC systems
- Solid understanding of Modbus communications
- Experience with fibre optic / industrial networking systems
- Commissioning / installation / site-based experience
- Comfortable working in live operational environments
- Must be hands-on and technically delivery-focused
Desirable
- BESS / battery storage / renewables experience
- Exposure to IEC 61850 environments
- HMI / systems integration experience
